Two Connecticut Department of Transportation bridge maintenance projects will close lanes and slow traffic on Interstate 95 this week — a daytime project in Darien, Norwalk and Wesport and a nighttime project in Greenwich.

In Darien and Westport on Thursday

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, alternating left and right lanes will be closed in both the northbound and southbound traffic lanes of I-95, both between Exits 17 and 18 in Westport and between Exits 12 and 14 in Darien and Norwalk.

Overnight in Greenwich Through Early Friday Morning

A maintenance project on an Interstate 95 bridge in Greenwich, just before the New York state border, is expected to close some traffic lanes between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday through Friday nights this week.

A Department of Transportation news release did not specify whether the lanes would be on either the northbound-traffic or southbound-traffic sides. The lane closures began on Monday and are expected to end early Friday morning.

The highway’s overpass above River Avenue is between Exit 21 in New York state and Exit 2 in Greenwich.

Here’s the DOT’s announcement for this project:
