Olive Hajduk obit 4-7-16

A celebratory reception in honor of Olive Hajduk will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at Atria Darien.

Born on October 10, 1926 to Charles Henry Olive Aspinall and his wife, Martha Anne Huxley in Radcliffe, England.

She met her husband, Marion (Mike) Hajduk, when he was stationed in England in the U.S. Army Air Force. They were married on July 28, 1945.

Until her final year she lived in Clifton, N.J. She loved animals, travel, books, movies, walks in Brookdale Park and Masterpiece Theatre — but most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her only child and son-in-law, Phyllis and Peter Hawkins, her two grandsons, Zeke and Simon Hawkins, and Daisy, her loving, canine friend.

A celebratory reception will be held at Atria of Darien on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2 p.m.
