Highway lane closures are scheduled this week on Interstate 95 in Stamford and Darien on Wednesday and on a stretch of the Merritt Parkway from Stamford to New Canaan on Thursday, the Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced.

Interstate 95

There will be lane closures in Stamford and Darien, between Exits 6 and 10, on Wednesday, Dec. 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.,  on both the northbound- and southbound-traffic sides of I-95.

Merritt Parkway

On Thursday, Dec. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., lanes will be closed on both the northbound- and southbound-traffic sides of the Merritt Parkway between Exit 34 (Long Ridge Road in Stamford) and Exit 37 (South Avenue, or Route 124, which turns into Mansfield Avenue in Darien).

Note: The Connecticut Department of Transportation announcement about these lane closures characterizes the one on the Merritt Parkway as being in Greenwich, although the stretch of the parkway between the exits mentioned in it are in Stamford and New Canaan. The lane closures on Interstate 95 are characterized as being in Stamford, although they stretch to Exit 10 in Darien.
