James T. Pearson Jr. of Titusville, Fl., passed away very peacefully Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was 80.

James Pearson Jr., 80, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 13. Services will be private.

Born in Darien, he was the son of the late James T. and Dorothy L. Pearson. After graduating from high school in Darien, he began a lifetime career as an engineer at Perkin Elmer Corporation in Norwalk.

Jim held many positions including two international assignments over the course of his 40-year career as an employee and consultant at Perkin Elmer.

He was an avid boater and enjoyed many trips down the intercostal waterways and in the Caribbean and Florida Keys. Jim could fix anything, was clever at giving nicknames, and also enjoyed cars and working in his backyard. A private man, his good friends and family meant the world to him.

Jim is survived by his loving children and their spouses: Susan Pearson Gambardella and her husband, Mark; and James Pearson III and his wife, Ivy; along with his beloved grandchildren: Brittany, Nicholas, Daniel, and Natalie. Jim was predeceased by his brother John, and also leaves behind a brother, Robert.

All services for Jim will be held privately by his family.
