A house under construction on Relihan Road was vandalized sometime overnight Thursday to Friday, April 14 to 15, the builder told police.

The damage included two broken basement windows on the side of the house and damage done inside the building.

The builder told police that bulkhead doors leading to the basement had been closed late Thursday but were found open the next morning. The builder called police at 7:17 a.m., Friday.

A box of nails had been dumped on the stairway leading to the second floor; an electric box was pulled from a 2-by-4 board near the front door; a second electric box was pulled from a similar board on the third floor; a sensor wire was cut from a carbon monoxide detector; and an air-conditioning duct in the attic was cut.

Altogether, the owner estimated that about $500 in damage was done. Police are continuing to investigate.
