Some drivers on Interstate 95 in Greenwich this weekend could face delays as two lanes of traffic are closed for a drainage repair project, the Connecticut Department of Transportation announced.

The work will only close northbound traffic lanes on the highway. It is scheduled for two nights — from 8 p.m., Saturday to 8 a.m., Sunday, May 20 to 21, and again from 8 p.m., Sunday to 5 a.m., Monday, May 22.

The drainage repairs will be performed by F.S.M. Services, Inc.

“Motorists can expect the left two lanes closed on Interstate 95 northbound between Exit 4 (Indian Field Road) and Exit 6 (Harvard Avenue) in Greenwich,” ConnDOT announced Wednesday.  “Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

“Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.”
