Darien Community Association Women’s Luncheons will feature “Central Park: An American Masterpiece” Featuring Historian and Photographer Sara Cedar Miller

The Darien Community Association (DCA) Women’s Luncheons will feature “Central Park: An American Masterpiece” featuring historian and photographer Sara Cedar Miller for their next luncheon on Tuesday, March 7 at 12:15 p.m. at the DCA.

Central Park is the most important work of American art of the nineteenth century. Its history and design — including “secret” stories and little-known features — will be revealed by Sara Cedar Miller, the Central Park Conservancy’s historian and photographer.

Also featured will be the inspirational 35-year transformation of Central Park by the Conservancy with suggestions of how to also help Darien’s local parks achieve the same results.

This event is $25 per person, or $20 for DCA members, and includes a lunch which will be provided by Michael Joseph’s Catering. Prepayment for this event is required by noon on Monday, March 6, and can be made online at dariendca.org, or by contacting the DCA at 203-655-9050 ext. 10. The DCA is located at 274 Middlesex Road in Darien.
