Novelist Yaa Gyasi, author of "Homegoing" will be the featured guest at Darien Library's "Novel Tea" event.

Single tickets are now on sale for our Second Annual Novel Tea fundraiser featuring bestselling author Yaa Gyasi (Homegoing).

The lunch will be held at Wee Burn Country Club on Wednesday, March 29 from 12 noon to 2 p.m.

A limited number of Benefactor Tables are still available as well. Guests at Benefactor tables will be invited to a private meet-and-greet pre-reception with Yaa Gyasi from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon, and receive a signed copy of Homegoing.

All funds raised from the Novel Tea will be dedicated to Darien Library resources, including expanding technology, purchasing new books, and supporting programs and guest speakers.

Yaa Gyasi is a recipient of the National Book Foundation’s 2016 “5 Under 35” Award, and was just named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 List.Homegoing was named a New York Times 2016 Notable Book, one of Oprah’s 10 Favorite Books of 2016, NPR’s Debut Novel of the Year, one of Buzzfeed’s Best Fiction Books of 2016, and one of Time’s Top 10 Novels of 2016.
