Taking place on Wednesdays in June, the family concerts promise to be fun for the whole family. Whether you pack a picnic dinner or buy dinner at “Uncle’s By the Shore,” grab a blanket, the beach chairs and come enjoy the evening at one of Darien’s finest parks.
Show time is 6:30 for all concerts. The cost (per concert) is $4 per person or $10 per family. (Beach stickers are not required to attend these events; glass containers are not permitted on the beach.) Following is a schedule of performances:
- June 7 – Annie & the Natural Wonder Band
- June 14 – DHS Jazz Band (special appearance by Darien Community Band @ 7:30 p.m.)
- June 21 – T-Bone
- June 28 – Dre Towey
On June 28, the concert will be preceded by the 11th annual Sand Castle Building Contest! The contest is free and begins at 4 p.m. Following the concert, the Youth Commission/Parks & Recreation Department will be sponsoring their annual movie at the beach! The feature film this year is TDB. Showtime is dusk (at 8:30 p.m.).
