What Dyslexia Is and How to Help Dyslexic Children Reach Full Potential

What is dyslexia? How is it diagnosed? How can we help these children reach their full potential? Reading expert, Dr. Margie Gillis, answers all these questions and more in an educational presentation at Darien Library.

Join us in the Community Room from 9:30 a.m to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 6.

The presentation is co-sponsored by Darien SEPAC and Darien Library.

Dr. Margie Gillis

Dr. Margie Gillis is the president of Literacy How and a research affiliate at Fairfield University and Haskins Labs.

Among her many accomplishments and presentations, she was recently (in January) the primary presenter of the live webinar, “Using Literacy Screening Data to Support Students with Reading Difficulties,” attended by approximately 300 Connecticut educators and hosted by the State Education Resource Center of CT (SERC) and the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE).
