In this visually rich and entertaining workshop, presenter Jeff Seaver helps participants explore what goes into crafting a small business website that works.

Exploring design issues, domain names, platforms, mobile websites, usability and content creation, we will examine website strategies and usability issues that can affect a business’ bottom line.

Using examples of “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” participants examine the inner workings of a successful interactive experience on the web.

Topics include:

  • Domain registration and hosting account
  • Content Management Systems (such as WordPress)
  • Do-It-Yourself (DIY) websites
  • Designing for mobile
  • Usability and User Experience (UX) issues
  • Content creation and curation

About the presenter

Jeff Seaver owns Seaver Interactive, a website design and Internet marketing firm in Westport. Jeff is an accomplished designer and artist, computer expert and teacher. He has decades of experience in the communication arts and has been building websites since the mid-1990’s.

Jeff is an adjunct professor and has lectured widely at art schools and trade gatherings. He is also a SCORE business mentor. Jeff developed and manages the eight-part internet marketing workshop series for SCORE Fairfield County.
