Everyone in the community is invited to join in the drive. Suggested items to put in a basket include chocolate bunnies, toys, small games, coloring books, crayons and wrapped candy.

Baskets can be dropped off at the Meeting House directly behind the church at 210 Rowayton Ave. from now until Thursday, March 29.

Since Easter falls on April 1 this year, the Easter Basket program gives extra meaning to April Fool’s Day as children are happily surprised by the gifts.

The baskets will be distributed by the Family and Children’s Agency just before Easter.

The drive is part of the church’s Board of Christian Outreach Program that supports 21 community organizations.
