Depot’s Next ‘Coffee and Conversations’ Discussion is on Kids and Smoking Devices

The public is invited to an informal workshop/discussion on vapes, e-cigarettes and “Juuls” at the Depot, Darien’s youth center, on Thursday, March 15 as part of the Depot’s “Coffee & Conversations” series. The event takes place from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Coffee and Conversations at The Depot Speaking will be Dennis Bludnicki and Maggie Young, each of whom has worked at Liberation Programs Inc., which is co-sponsoring the discussion.

Here’s more about who they are:

Dennis Bludnicki has been with Liberation Programs, Inc. for over 12 years; initially working as a drug counselor at Greenwich Youth Options for seven years.

He later was a counselor at Liberation’s Outpatient Clinic in Stamford facilitating early recovery skills to adults dealing with alcohol and other drug addictions through individual , group and family counseling.

Currently, Dennis has returned to working with youth and their families in the Greenwich Community and surrounding area, providing prevention, education and drug and alcohol counseling.

Maggie Young, MSW, LADC, B.S., CCS has been with Liberation Programs, Inc. for 24 years. She worked as a case manager, counselor, and team leader for 10 years before serving as the Director of the agency’s male (Liberation House) and female  (Families Inn Recovery Program) inpatient treatment programs for another ten years.

Since 2016, she has been the Director of Women and Children Services in Greenwich.
