Residential home sales in Darien saw an overall increase of 15 percent in 2017, with 299 homes sold in 2017 versus 260 sold in 2016, according to data from the Darien Multiple Listing Service.

The median sales price rose by 4.3 percent, from $1,380,000 to $1,440,000.

The town saw the most sales in the $1,000,000 to $1,499,999 price range, with 104 homes sold, and the largest increase in the $2,000,000 to $2,499,999 range, with 43 sales representing a 79.2 percent increase over 2016.
