Darien Library presents its annual Spring fundraiser at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 3. This year “The Secret Garden Gala” will be a festive party in the outdoor courtyard with silent and live auctions, cocktails, Two Roads beer, Simply Creative Catering, and live music by Jay and Ray.

The Gala Committee is hard at work gathering fantastic auction items and making plans to transform the Library into a “secret garden.” Stacey Tié, chair, is joined by Catherine Bailey, Alison Gird, Kathy Hardy and Sarah Madson, along with the Library Board of Trustees.

“This is a real fun event that supports our incredible Library!” said Stacey. “Here’s a chance to start your summer with your friends, enjoy music, entertainment, food and drink, all the while supporting our beloved Library.”

All funds raised from the event will be dedicated to expanding library resources, including purchasing new books, technology, and supporting programs and guest speakers.

As Board Fundraising Chair Tara Ochman explains, “This event is the culmination of a great public/private partnership, and we love that while it raises essential funds, it is also rooted in bringing the community together in order to celebrate what we have all created.”

The Secret Garden Gala is sponsored by David Harvey Fine Jewelers, Darien Rowayton Bank, New Canaan/Darien Magazine and Two Roads Brewing Company.

Tickets are currently available for purchase at $150. To buy tickets and for more information visit the gala Web page.
