A 911 call in which the caller hung up without saying anything led to police visiting a Crimmins Road home at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, where they found a teenage drinking party breaking up.

No arrests were made, but parents were notified. Police gave this account of the incident:

When police arrived, they found teenagers running down the street, across the street and into a neighbor’s yard.

The 16-year-old girl who answered the door at the home where the party had taken place said she didn’t serve alcohol to anyone, but some teenagers came to the house without permission, and they were allowed inside. She said she had just kicked them out because they showed up uninvited. only invited over a few people.

The girl’s parents were not home. They were notified by police.

Police found no booze in the house, although there were a number of red Solo brand cups in the kitchen. Near Crimmins Road police later found a 30-pack of beer.

Outside the house, officers found two teenage Darien girls, ages 16 and 17, in a vehicle. At first they said they were in the area because they were babysitting. They later admitted that they were at the party.

One of the girls had red, glassy eyes. When she was getting her identification, an officer saw two fraudulent IDs in her wallet, one of them purporting to be a Connecticut driver’s license. The other was meant to look like a probationary New Jersey driver’s license.

She told police she got the IDs from a website. Darien police on Thursday issued an announcement warning teenagers that possessing a phony ID is a felony in Connecticut. A police spokesman did not know why the girl was not arrested.

Also in the vehicle was a canvas bag that the girls said belonged to someone else. Inside it was a sweater and a half-full bottle of Gordon’s Vodka.

A purse in the car contained a small container with a small amount of marijuana and a bowl or pipe of a type commonly used to smoke marijuana, along with a cigarette lighter.

Editor’s note: The link to a Google Web page with a map showing Crimmins Road has an arrow — that arrow is meant to point to the street, not any particular location or house on the street.
