A Raleigh mountain bike was reported stolen from the front yard of a home on Park Lane, just off of West Avenue near the Darien-Stamford border.

The bicycle had been left overnight in the front yard of the home and was last seen at about 1 a.m. on Monday, May 1. By 7:30 a.m. that day, the bicycle was missing.

Police say the bicycle was there in the front yard at 1 a.m. because a police officer on patrol recalled seeing then. The gray bicycle has 22-inch tires. It also has disc brakes and a suspension frame. The owner valued it at $500.

Police canvassed the neighborhood, asking residents if they had seen or heard anything suspicious, but no information resulted from that. The same neighborhood had several overnight thefts from unlocked motor vehicles in recent months.
